Liverpool born, Chase has been a TV Presenter on a variety of shows, including; The Survivors Guide, Sextalk (both C4), Breakfast Time, Going Live! (BBC1), Wideangle, Country File,
01 For London (ITV) and Toyah & Chase (VH-1). On Radio, he has hosted BBC 5 Live’s After Hours and The Chase is On. He is particularly adept at being one half of a co-hosting team; forging successful on-screen ‘arranged marriages’ with Anthea Turner, Jayne Irving, Toyah Wilcox, Carolyn Marshall, Clare Grogan and the much missed Caron Keating.
Behind the scenes, he has worked as a Producer on both Sport Aid & Comic Relief (where; seeing a fire engine with a red bucket strapped to it’s radiator grill, he originated the idea for ‘red car noses,’ as a fund-raising product). He has written for several publications, including Esquire, the NME, Melody Maker, Maxim and Red. He is the author of the Amazon No.1 Best-Seller; ‘Drive-By Shouting.’
Mark was the leader of the notorious 90’s band World of Leather, who released 2 albums and numerous singles through Sony Records. They toured extensively in the UK and Europe and sold respectably in Japan & Scandinavia, whilst skillfully avoiding the UK charts.

Prior to this, Chase had been a successful session musician & singer, working with a number of artists, including Belinda Carlisle, Taylor Dayne, Carol Decker (T’Pau), Big Trouble & John Barrowman.
Having presented the UK’s first major Sex series (Channel 4’s Sextalk), Mark has recognized the difficulty that modern parents have in discussing sex and social media with their ‘digital native’ teens – and is part of The Rap Project, which visits secondary schools to offer guidance to both teens and their parents – and to openly discuss how pornography and social media influence attitudes and expectations.
